VDP. Weingut Rings
The cornerstone for today's VDP winery was laid by the parents with their mixed agricultural business until well into the 1990s. With the 2000 vintage Steffen joined the company and switched to “100% wine”.
Some time later, Andreas returned from his training at the Wagner-Stempel winery in Rheinhessen and the two brothers have been running the winery together since 2008.
The vineyards are planted equally with red and white vines. The winery cultivates 40 hectares in the best single vineyards in Freinsheim, Kallstadt, Ungstein and Leistadt and has been certified organic since 2017.
On different soils - gravelly sand, terra rossa (red earth) and limestone - mainly Riesling, Pinot Noir and international red wine varieties.
