Anne-Claire Schott

Anne-Claire Schott has been managing her family’s winery at Lake Biel since 2016.

Her path to becoming a certified oenologist was shaped through studies in art history and sociology, which made her sensitive to cultural aspects. Anne-Claire aims to highlight traditional viticulture methods and consciously manage the existing cultural heritage in the steep vineyards by hand. This philosophy reflects her commitment to sustainable production, enriched by a biodynamic worldview.

In this way, she bridges viticulture, art, and the humanities, allowing her instinctive actions to create high-quality wines.

"For me, the creation of wine can be compared to the creation of a painting. Their development and perception are very subjective. Both reflect different perspectives of our culture. There is never the same wine twice, just as there is never the same artwork twice."

The winery is biodynamic, with Demeter certification in transition.
