Home is still the most beautiful place of all, we realized at the end of our wandering years – because that's where we belong, that's where we are needed.
Since 1986, our parents and grandparents have been making wine in Gleina, which is why Gleina remains the center of our work. Here we live, here we press our wine.
Silence is Gold.
The place where our finest wines mature is the Freyburg Schweigenberg.
From one plot to the next, sometimes even from one row to the next, the landscape changes—wild orchids grow here, wild thyme over there. Constant, however, are the steep southern exposure and the rich mineral content of the shell limestone.
A mountain seemingly made for the grape varieties that are close to our hearts:
Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Noir. In Schweigenberg, they reach their true peak.
